WhatsApp and email reach the same team in Hanoi. A standard route is quoted within a working day; a three-country route usually takes two.

WhatsApp is the fastest of these and the one our travellers use most, because it works from a hotel lobby, an airport queue and the back of a car equally well. Email suits a long first message with dates and questions in it. Both reach the same small team, and whichever you use first is the one we will keep using.

What to send us
The more of these you can answer, the faster the first proposal is useful. None of them is compulsory — if all you have is a month and a vague idea, send that.
- Your dates, or the month and roughly how long you have.
- Who is travelling, and the ages of any children.
- Which countries you already know you want, and which you are open to.
- What you would like your accommodation to be — a range is enough.
- Anything that is fixed: a flight already booked, an anniversary, a wedding you are attending.
Timing
What happens next
Practical
Time zones, languages and how we actually reach you
The office is in Hanoi, which is seven hours ahead of London and twelve to fifteen ahead of North America. In practice that means a message sent from Europe in the morning is answered the same working day, and one sent from the United States in the evening is answered while you sleep. We plan in English; our ground teams work in English at every destination on this site, and we can arrange French, German, Spanish, Japanese or Korean-speaking guides in the main cities with enough notice — at Angkor and in the larger Vietnamese cities that notice is about two weeks in the high season.
While you are travelling the coordinator is on WhatsApp, and the number you have is the one that answers. We do not route travellers through a duty desk or a shared inbox, and we do not expect you to explain your own itinerary to whoever picks up. If something happens at three in the morning your time, it is the middle of our working day.
No obligation
Questions we are glad to answer before you commit to anything
There is no obligation in any of this, and some of the most useful conversations we have never become bookings. People write to ask whether their dates are wrong for the countries they have picked, whether a land crossing they read about still works, whether fourteen days is enough for what they have in mind, or whether the quote they have from somewhere else looks reasonable. We answer those properly, because a trip planned on bad information tends to go wrong in ways that reflect on everyone who sells travel in this region.
The one thing worth doing early is telling us your dates, even loosely. Hotels in Hoi An, the Ha Long boats, the Laos railway and the El Nido flights all sell out weeks ahead in the high season, and the difference between planning in October for February and planning in January for February is not the price — it is whether the route you want is still available at all.
Mid-trip
If you are already on the road
People sometimes find this site halfway through a trip, usually because a border or a flight has gone wrong. Send the message anyway. We can often pick up the remaining days, rebook the ground arrangements and get you across the next crossing, and we will say plainly if we cannot help rather than take the booking and improvise.
