What a package is here

It is a route we have run, written out day by day, with what is included stated plainly and what is not stated just as plainly. It is not a departure you join. Nobody else is on it, the dates are yours, and if the third day does not suit you, we change the third day and re-quote.

On prices

We quote per trip rather than publishing a headline figure, because the same fourteen days can differ by a factor of three between a good three-star and a resort, and because the number that matters is the one for your dates and your party. Ask and you will have it within a working day, itemised.

Single-country routes are the better choice when you have ten days or fewer, or when you are travelling with children, or when the month you have suits one country much more than its neighbours.

Pricing

What a quote includes, in plain terms

Every route here is priced the same way, so that two quotes can be compared without unpicking them. What is in: accommodation with breakfast, a private car and driver for every transfer and excursion, an English-speaking local guide in each country for the days the itinerary says are guided, all internal flights and boats named in the route, every entrance fee and activity listed, and the coordinator who runs the trip. What is not: international flights, visa costs, travel insurance, meals that are not listed, tips, and anything you decide to add while you are there.

Two things move a quote more than anything else. Hotels are the first and they are not a small factor — the same fourteen days can differ by three times between a good, clean three-star and a resort with a name. Internal flights are the second, because a route with four of them costs more than a route with two, and because the cheap fare and the sensible one are often four hours apart. We quote two hotel standards side by side by default so you can see the difference rather than take our word for it.
